One of the great joys and towering nuisances of living in Bangkok is walking around. This city is difficult to navigate. And that's when there is any space at all to do so, between the street vendors, other pedestrians, and lazy street dogs.
But a short walk can also reveal hidden secrets, because you do very little actual walking here, and because Bangkok really does hold a lot of hidden secrets. Yesterday, stumbling through the sweaty maze of my neighborhood, I came across a roast pig restaurant. I'd seen it before, flashing by through the window of a taxi, but this time stopped to take a few shots. I'll have a slideshow later, and a story too.. but here's a taste:
