I briefly met Anthony Bourdain a few years ago in Chengdu, when I helped him eat his way through that city. He helped me write a fun story for my dear, long defunct 8 Days Magazine, which you can see here if you page all the way down. I'm a fan of his writing, and his unabashed love for food. Tony doesn't fake it.
Anyways, I just caught his first Bangkok episode, which you can easily track down on the interwebs if you like, and saw that he made his way to the same chicken restaurant I wrote about here (hat tip to Patrick).
He says he'll be back in a year, and that's a good thing. He barely turned a page in the dusty old tome of the Bangkok food scene.
(To the Zero Point Zero people: If you read this, send me an email. Let's grab a bowl of noodles next time.)
